The Olsen Family Thanksgiving

We had a great time out at the Farm in Bostwick, GA celebrating Thanksgiving Friday. We had family there from Chicago and California. The food was outstanding as always and the kids kept us all entertained.

The Johnson Family Thanksgiving
(click photo above to enlarge)

What a great Thanksgiving we had in Duluth with Ben's Family and my mom. There are so many great photos to share I couldn't add them all. Just click here to see them all on our Flickr page. If for nothing else you have to go to see my adorable Niece Reese!

We arrived around 11:30 and hung out in the playroom. Max enjoyed watching Finnley and trying to copy him while the adults sat in mini chairs and chitchatted. I enjoyed making Reese smile. The feast was wonderful with lots of exchanging of recipes and "oh my that's soooo good" and it was! We had 3 different kinds of potatoes and a very yummy cabbage salad with grapefruit that was amazing. I was smart this year and brought my own tupperware to take home leftovers. Taking home leftover is almost as important as the feast itself.

After the meal a few people went down to the river in the back yard. Finnley likes to throw sticks in the river and was teaching Max how it's done. Then they went to the park to work off more turkey both adventures made for some good pictures. Those Johnsons are such a fun group of people to hang out with. They have a lot of great story tellers in that family and they keep me in stitches!

Max's loves to hang out WITH his books!

A few nights ago we were having dinner and Max just started to do a little show for us. Ben was quick to grab the video camera and I'm so glad he did! I was amazed at all Max's moves, spinning, walking backwards, stomping, wide stance stomping, walking on his toes, kneeling and some Elvis hip moves too! What a funny boy!

School Pictures are here!
The day they took these I had called daycare to check on Max since this was still all new to him. They said he was okay but didn't like changing rooms when they took him to get his picture taken. They said he wasn't smiling but had a cute smirk like he wanted to smile but wasn't real sure.

Had a great time at Thrasher park in the Historic part of Norcross with MeMike and Pops Saturday. The park and surrounding train station, shops and restaurants are so cute with that small town feeling you would have thought we were out in the country. The floor of the park is very soft and squish made of old tires I think and there are real train tracks right there too. Max got to see two trains come by at full speed for the first time. I'm not sure if he know what to think about that but I think he liked it even if it scared him a little. He also got to practice his sliding ability and going down stairs, two things that kinda go together. He had lot's of fun watching the "big kids" and saying UT-oh over and over.

Happy Halloween

We had a nice Halloween Friday. We decided to sit on the front porch to hand out candy and let Max watch all the trick-r-treaters. He was dressed as a NASCAR Rookie sponsored by Simlilac (a brand of formula) it got quite a chuckle! Max said something to every one as they left that sounded like "Be Duh Be" not sure what that means but it was really cute. He ate some chocolate and some marshmallow and really enjoyed them - Well he took one bite out of the marshmallow and held it until it was really sticky, of course. I look forward to next year when he can help choose what to be and we can go trick-r-treating ourselves.
