This is the front view of the 15 1/2-inch Viscera Coffin. This was specifically designed to hold King Tut's mummified liver, which was believed to be essential in the afterlife.
Happy Belated Mothers day to everyone!
Ben, Max and I had a great Mothers day weekend in Atlanta. We went to Fado's Irish Pub Saturday evening for Nate and Beth's Baby shower. They are such a cute couple and so excited to have their baby in just 6 short weeks - well I guess it depends on who you ask! I know when I was Prego 6 weeks might as well be a year, felt like it took about a week just to walk to my car. :)
Max hung with his Gram in her condo and played played played! Sunday we woke up and went to the Civic Center to see the King Tut exhibit. Here are a few picts of some of the things we saw. I'm so excited we got to it before it was over, we cut it really close. Max did really well for a 21 month old. He sat in his stroller nice and still and quite until we were almost done. Now that it is over I wish I had paid closer attention. It makes me want to see things like the more often. I studied all that stuff in college but is sooo less boring in person! We got Max a little Tut coffinett as a souvenir.
After tut we had a nice meal at Long Horn then hit the road for home. Max and Ben got me a lovely Knockout Rose bush for mothers day and a thermometer I can put in the toaster oven (for crafts) how many mom's can say they got a thermometer for mothers day and LIKE it! :) I have a husband who listens so closely apparently :)
