I have been so slack about the blog, seems the older Max gets the less and less we post. I do have some photos to post of our growing boy as he gets bigger and bigger. His vocabulary seems to have exploded. My current favorite is when he says, thru laughing, "your funny daddy/mommy" it melts my heart.

Max is going to have a slumber party with Grama & Grampa Olsen this Friday and coming home Sat. All the mothers out there can understand how excited Ben and I are about that. Funny a year ago I would have been sad. I don't think I can fit in all the thing I want to do while he is gone but I'm going to try!

I've been working on a portrait of my niece Reece in her fluffy birthday dress I'd like to show everyone. I'm not sure if it's finished yet. I paint here and there when I can between daily duties. Nice thing about oils is they don't dry up so I can do 10 min. here and there. I really like painting and would love to take a class because I really don't have any idea what I'm doing. Ron (Ben's dad) has taken some really beautiful portraits I would like to paint. You can check them out at his flicker page.

I finally got around to loading up some of the birthday photos. We had a great time! Water fun was the way to go, Max loved it. and being outside we had lots of room for all the kids to just do whatever.

Thanks everybody for making it such a nice time for Max. So many people helped out in so many ways and I couldn't have done it without you!

Skyla's 1st Birthday

We had a great time celebrating Skyla's birthday with her and the family Saturday. Jeremy, Savannah and there little girl Skyla all drove from CA to GA again! It's so great to see them we miss them all soooooo much. Sklya got lots of clothes and toys that we all enjoyed playing with.

Driveway Adventures

We found a butterfly on the ground and picked it up with pine straw and it didn't fly away. I placed it on Max's toe and RAN for the camera. I took one shot then took another after I told him to SMILE!

Catching up on some photos. Back in June-July when our lawn was fabulous and Max had just gotten a hair cut we decided to try out the sprinkler for a possible party idea.

Photo Shoot

For Maggie's Birthday this year we decided to give her a nice photo-shoot with her almost 2 year old grandson. I wish I had a photo of the set - it was teeny tiny but somehow we made it work and I think we got some great shots. We clipped the black to the back of two chairs and had them sit on a sofa cushion right up next to the French doors to get some of that great sun light since we don't have any flashes yet. We sent her home with lots of prints and a huge smile!

What a doll! as usual! We made it to Alpharetta for Reese's birthday bash last weekend. Aint she cute and such a well behaved mild mannered cutie pie!
